NORMAN, Okla. – The Guilford College men's golf team sits at 22
nd in the nation, as released in the Preseason 2026-27 Bushnell/Golfweek DIII Coaches Poll, Friday afternoon.
Following a huge upswing towards the end of the 2026 spring season, the Quakers ended their season finishing 13
th of 43 at the NCAA Division III Men's Golf National Championship, after earning a bid to the tournament as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Champions.
GC brings four of their five contributors from last season to hold a preseason national ranking. Graduate student
Gavin Peach (Charlotte, N.C.) will lead the Quakers as the top returning contributor, who competed in 10 events last year, averaging a round score of 75.24 (+3). He is joined by
Luke Wise (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) who finished atop the GC leader board at the NCAA Championships, tied for 48
th over the four rounds of play.
Larsen Gallimore (Walnut Cove, N.C.) and
Braeden Gillen (Holly Springs, N.C.) round out the contributing returners from the dominant 2025-26 squad, and will look to continue their impact for Guilford.
With a veteran core returning from a team that reached the national championship a season ago, the Quakers enter 2026-27 looking to build on their postseason success. Guilford will look to use its experience, continued growth, and group of newcomers to carry their success into the coming season.
The Quakers open their 2026 fall campaign this weekend at the Transylvania Fall Invite in Lexington, Kentucky.
