Box Score DURHAM, N.C. – The Guilford College men's tennis team (1-9, 1-2 ODAC) stepped out of conference play on Sunday afternoon, dropping a 6-1 decision to the Division I Eagles of North Carolina Central University (8-5, 1-0 MEAC) at the NCCU Tennis Courts.

Andres Mercedes (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) had to retire early in his match at the No. 1 position.
George Hardie (Liberty, N.C.),
Alex Brown (Burlington, N.C.),
Turner Johnson (Oak Ridge, N.C.), and
Ahmaad Abdul-Haqq (Greensboro, N.C.) all battled through their respective matches against a disciplined Eagles lineup.
The Quakers will look to bounce back as they return to conference action on Wednesday, March 25th, traveling to take on Averett University. First serve is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
