DAVIDSON, N.C..- The Guilford College triathlon team traveled to Davidson, N.C. on Sunday morning, to compete in the Lake Davidson Sprint Triathlon, presented by Trane Technologies.
Josephine Hemmer (Greenbay, Va.) and
Bec Cormack (Forest Park, Ill.) were Guilford's two main competitors. Leading the pack in the swimming portion was Hemmer, who secured a time of 11:58, placing 22nd across NCAA female competitors. Cormack placed 35th among NCAA female competitors, obtaining a time of 15:14
Wrapping up the competition, Hemmer recorded an overall chip time of 1:20:21, securing a placing of 54th, among NCAA female competitors. Cormack earned a chip time of 1:38:07, earning her a placing of 62nd across all female competitors.
Guilford's next competition is slated for Saturday, October 12 as they partake in the USA Triathlon National Development Race. Start time to be determined.
