GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Guilford College Athletic Department announces the addition of Mike Boyd. Boyd takes over the role of Assistant Athletic Director of Facilities, Operations and Intramurals.

"I'd like to welcome Mike Boyd to Guilford Athletics. He'll bring a wide variety of pertinent college athletics experience to his new role as Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities, Operations and Intramurals," said Director of Athletics, Bill Foti. "I'm looking forward to working with him to enhance the experience for all of our students."

Boyd comes to Guilford after spending time as the Athletic Facilities, Events & Equipment Coordinator at Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania.

"I want to thank Bill Foti and the rest of the search committee for giving me the opportunity to join Guilford College Athletics," said Boyd. "I look forward to contributing to a great atmosphere where students come to work out and student-athletes can compete. I look forward to providing the best athletic facilities possible for Guilford College."

Mike had also been the Athletic Facilities & Events Manager at Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland. Prior to that, he spent time as a Graduate Assistant at Slippery Rock University before then. 

Boyd graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management (2020) & Master of Business Administration degree (2021).
