The Guilford College women's lacrosse team hosted the Adrian College Bulldogs. An early lead for the visitors proved the difference as the Quakers fell 11-6.
Majority of the first two periods was all Adrian as it scored the first six goals. With less than a minute left in the half,
Sydne Sawyer got Guilford on the board with an assist from
Maggie Hartnett.
The Bulldogs scored once more before the half and led 7-1 at the break.
In the third, Sawyer scored her second of the game. Adrian notched two more goals before
Sarah Michelle Boyce scored the final goal of the third. The visitors still head a six-goal edge.
The fourth period was even between the two squads as they each scored two goals.
Hartnett finished with five points (1G, 4A) while Sawyer finished with a hat trick.
Zenna Carson finished with 11 saves on the afternoon.
Guilford welcomes Brevard College on Wednesday, March 8. Start time is set for 1:00 p.m.
