Quakers Fall in Rain Soaked Match

The women's lacrosse program hosted Bridgewater College in a rainy day game. The Quakers fell with a final score of 18-6. 

Bridgewater opened up the scoring with two straight goals. Guilford got on the board with a goal from Maggie Hartnett. Guilford continued to trade goals with Bridgewater, with goals from Sydne Sawyer and Mackenzie Richards.

The Eagles captured the momentum and scored five straight goals in the second quarter. Maggie Hartnett stopped the bleeding for the meantime with another goal to make the score 9-4. To end the half, Bridgewater scored three more unanswered goals. 

To open the second half, Bridgewater and Guilford traded goals as Richards netted her second of the day. From here Guilford's offense struggled leading to five straight goals for the Eagles. The Quakers were however able to finish the scoring for the afternoon with a man-up goal by Maggie Bryson to make the final score 18-6. Zenna Carson recorded 18 total saves for the day.

Guilford returns to the Armfield Athletic Center to take on Adrian College on Thursday, March 2 with a 3:00 p.m. start time.
