The Guilford College baseball team traveled to Brevard, N.C. for a neutral site matchup with Northern Vermont-Lyndon. The Quakers survived a late comeback by the Hornets for the 9-8 win.
After Guilford went down in order to open the game, Lyndon used a two-run homer to left field to capture the early lead.

It remained tied through the seventh but in the top of the eighth, the Guilford bats woke back up. GC capitalized on four hits and an error to score six runs including a single by Bryce Vestal to score two.
Trailing 9-3, the Hornets drew four walks with two hits and a hit by pitch as five runners crossed the plate. Up one (9-8), the Quakers left a runner in scoring position in the top of the ninth. In the bottom half of the inning,
