The Guilford College men's soccer team faced the WildCats of Randolph College in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference matchup. The Quakers fell to the WildCats, 2-1.

Randolph began the match with possession and just marched down the field to score just 16 seconds into the game. The visitors controlled possession and it paid off with another goal at the 14-minute mark.

The WildCats held the game in check for a majority of the half until the 38th minute when Cameron Robinson scored off a pass from Osman Torres. The Quakers trailed 2-1 at the intermission.

In the second half, the pace of play began to pick up as both teams started to have opportunities. Both goalkeepers stood tall in the net and kept the score at 2-1.

Late in the half, a ball crossed into the box found its way to Kenny Nzekwe, who wasted no time and fired off a shot. The ball grazed off the crossbar and went out of play. A few minutes later, the horn sounded as the game ended 2-1 in favor of Randolph College.

Guilford out shot the WildCats, 4-3, while the visitors had six corners compared to four for GC.

Guilford (1-4-3, 0-2) travels to Bridgewater College on Wednesday, September 28 for a 4:00 p.m. match.
