Quakers Maintain Perfect ODAC Record With Men's Tennis Win Over Wasps

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Guilford College's men's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win over visiting Emory & Henry College Saturday.

The Quakers' sixth win in seven outings kept their league record perfect (5-0) and moved them to 8-3 overall. Emory & Henry dipped to 1-12 (0-7 ODAC).

Tate Godwin led Guilford's dominance with one of three 6-0, 6-0 singles victories. The sophomore knocked off Grayson McCarty in shutout fashion at first singles. The Quakers' Mason Robb (2nd singles) and Elijah Gregory (3rd singles) also failed to yield a game.

Robb and Gregory teamed for an 8-2 second-doubles triumph over Emory & Henry's Cooper Garrett and Liam Davidson. Godwin and Graham Pearson made quick work of the Wasps' McCarty and Dalton Shipley at first singles, 8-1.

Pearson, Kai Glass, and Jarad Gandy also recorded straight-set singles wins for the Quakers.
