Greensboro, N.C. (2/17/09) -- Randolph College upended Guilford College, 73-68, in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's basketball action Tuesday night in the Ragan-Brown Field House. After leading for most of the contest, the Quakers tightened down the stretch and went cold from the floor. The Wildcats took the lead for good with 6:33 remaining in the game on a jumper from Rebecca-Ann Folden. The game featured seven ties and six lead changes.

Randolph (5-18, 4-15 ODAC) had four different players score in double digits, led by Katie Rechnitzer's 14 points. Lindsay Cross and Sam Schaffstall chipped in 13 and 10 points, respectively, while Kristen Blalock tallied 10-points, a game-high 11 rebounds and three blocks. The Wildcats shot 40 percent from the field and converted 13-of-16 free throws.

Guilford (10-13, 9-9 ODAC) was led by Tracey Croner's game-high 16 points and five rebounds. Jessica Casto and Ann Seufer both added 12 points in the loss.

The difference came late in the game as Guilford had an opportunity to tie the game down 68-70 with less than 30 seconds remaining. However, a Seufer turnover followed immediately by a technical foul allowed Randolph to convert two free throws and regain possession. The Wildcats were fouled immediately on the restart and hit one of two free throws for an insurmountable five-point lead with six seconds remaining.

The Quakers conclude their four-game home stand this weekend by facing two of the top-three teams in the ODAC.
