ASHLAND, Va. (01/11/08)– Sophomore Molly Arail scored a game-high 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds in Randolph-Macon College's 67-51 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win over visiting Guilford College Friday night in Crenshaw Gym.

The Yellow Jackets, ranked 13th in this week's USA Today/ESPN Division III Coaches' Top 25 Poll and 14th in the D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll, move to 9-0 overall and 4-0 in the league.  Guilford drops to 8-2 (4-2 ODAC) with its first loss in six games.

Arail, a 6-2 center, made seven-of-12 first-half shots and had 14 points by halftime, which helped the taller hosts to a 42-25 halftime lead.  Senior guard Jess Shifflett scored five of her 10 first-half points during a 13-0 Randolph-Macon run midway through the period that opened a 14-point bulge. The Yellow Jackets shot over 53 percent from the floor in the first half and held the Quakers to 33.3 percent field-goal shooting.

Neither team shot well in the second period, during which time Randolph-Macon's edge grew to 22 points before Guilford narrowed the gap to the final 16-point margin.  Junior forward Lindsey Riesbeck scored nine of her 15 points in the second half for the Yellow Jackets.

Riesbeck grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds for a double-double and helped the hosts enjoy a 49-30 rebounding advantage.  Junior guard Amanda Hiltunen (Glen Allen, Va./Hermitage), the reigning ODAC Player of the Week, totaled eight points and a game-high five assists.

Guilford freshman Lauren LeFevers scored a career- and team-high 14 points off the bench. She made four-of-six three-pointers.  Sophomore teammate Alexa Williams added 10 points, seven boards and three steals.

The Quakers head to Virginia Wesleyan College Saturday (1/12) for a 4:00 p.m. league matchup.  Randolph-Macon hosts Emory & Henry College Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
