Box Score Greensboro, N.C. (9/26/06) -- Kelly Gordon and Erin Burnop registered nine kills apiece to lead visiting Roanoke to a 30-22, 30-17, 30-19 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win at Guilford Tuesday night. The win improves the Maroons' overall record to 8-4 and keeps them perfect in ODAC play with a 4-0 mark. The Quakers slip to 2-12 overall, 0-4 in the ODAC.
Burnop made just one error in 15 attempts and hit .533 for the night. She also had five digs. Gordon did not hit an error in 19 attempts and hit .474 on the night and also added five digs. Torri Bridge set up 36 assists and scooped up 12 digs for Roanoke. Libero Caitlyn Long led the Maroons with 16 pickups. Roanoke hit .275 as a team, including .316 in the second set.
Guilford's Jenny Conner, Katie Spina and Jessica Smith had six kills apiece. Becca Jones chipped in with 24 assists and Kaci Loeffler made 17 digs.
The Quakers, in the midst of a nine-match home stand, host North Carolina Wesleyan Thursday (9/28) in a nonconference match at 7:00 p.m.
