Box Score Greensboro, Va. (9/19/06) -- Washington and Lee improved to 7-1 on the year with a 30-12, 30-17, 30-18 over host Guilford Tuesday night in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match. The Generals extended their streak of wins over ODAC foes to 82 with Tuesday's triumph.
Washington and Lee substituted liberally throughout the match and received match-high eight kills, plus eight digs from Laura Maurer. Alex Scaggs contributed six putaways on .455 hitting and Jessica Ulrich also had six kills. Lauren Edmonson played a strong defensive match with 14 digs. Lauren Randolph led the three Generals' setters with 14 assists. Jess Hudock tallied three kills, 11 digs, a block and an ace while receiving 12 serves without error.
Jenny Conner led Guilford's offense for the second straight game with eight kills on .207 hitting. Kaci Loeffler scooped up a game-high 21 digs and Bethany Hawks contributed two kills, one assist, one service ace and 12 digs.
The Quakers return to action next Tuesday night against visiting league-rival Roanoke at 6:30 p.m. The Generals participate in a weekend tournament hosted by Emory University this Friday and Saturday.
