Box Score SALEM, VA (2/24/06) -- Randolph-Macon got 22 points out of Michelle Orton and 20 from Megan Silva en route to a 85-63 win over Guilford to advance the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Women's Basketball Tournament Finals.
With the score 17-15 with 11:33 remaining in the first-half, Randolph-Macon (24-2) went on a 10-0 run which was capped off by a bucket from Silva that gave the Yellow Jackets 27-15 with five and half minutes remaining in the opening half. Randolph-Macon eventually held a 41-28 lead at the break.
The Randolph-Macon lead grew to as many as 28 in the second-half when Kristin Thompson canned a jumper with just over seven and half minutes remaining in the game.
The Yellow Jackets shot 41.1 percent for the game, while holding Guilford 's leading scorer Jennifer King to just nine points on 2-of-10 shooting.
Silva closed the game out with a game-high seven assists and five steals. Megan Senske led the Yellow Jackets in rebounding with 10. Lindsay Riesbeck chipped in with 10 points of her own for Randolph-Macon.
Kristine Ellis paced the Quakers with 14 points and 11 rebounds off the bench for her team-high 10th double-double of the year. Dionne Graham added 12 points. The nation's fifth-leading scorer, King finishes her illustrious career ranked third on the Quakers' career scoring chart with 1,601 points.
Randolph-Macon advances to Saturday's finals for the fourth-consecutive season and will take on second-seeded Bridgewater at 2:00 p.m. at the Salem Civic Center .
