Fayetteville, NC (3/4/05) -- Emily Neilsen scored four goals to lead host Methodist to a 13-7 women's lacrosse win over Guilford Friday. Lindsay West added three goals and two assists for the Monarchs, who improve to 3-1 with the win.

Methodist jumped out to a 5-0 lead before Guilford got on the scoreboard and pulled to within 7-4 at halftime.

Mary Hutchins scored three times for the Quakers and Kelly Gonzalez tallied twice. Devorah Litt made six saves in goal for Guilford.

The Quakers are back in action March 16 against Washington and Lee in their Old Dominion Athletic Conference opener. The Monarchs play Averett Saturday (3/5).
