Game Statistics

Greensboro, NC (01/21/02) -- Guilford made a school-record 17 three-pointers and posted its largest margin of victory in the program's 87 season-history in Monday's 108-32 home victory over Roanoke Bible College. The Quakers' 76-point margin of victory topped the previous standard of 74 set in a 125-51 Quakers' triumph over UNC Charlotte in 1967.

Guilford's third straight win and seventh victory in nine games improved its record to 11-6, matching the program's best start since 1988-89. The 11 wins mark the most in a season by a Quakers' squad since the 1994-95 unit went 11-14. The Flames dropped to 4-8 on the year with the loss.

Freshman guard Devon Clyburn (Charlotte, NC/South Mecklenburg) led five Guilford players in double-figure scoring with a career-high 16 points, thanks to four three-pointers. Sophomore guard Robert Spence (Apex, NC/Southeast Raleigh) also knocked down four trifectas and finished with 14 points off the bench, a personal best. Sophomore forward Josh Connor (Greensboro, NC/Northwest Greensboro) narrowly missed a triple-double with 10 points, a game-high nine rebounds and a career-best nine assists.

Roanoke Bible's 32 points marked the fewest by a Guilford opponent since Western Carolina scored a 30-22 win in 1964. The Quakers' 108 points marked the team's most in a game since a 109-105 victory over Emory & Henry February 8, 1995. Their 56 rebounds represent the highest single-game effort since a 62-carom performance against Averett November 27, 1995.

Guilford heads to nationally ranked Hampden-Sydney Wednesday (01/23) for a 7:00 p.m. Old Dominion Athletic Conference game that opens a four-game road trip. The Quakers conclude the trip next Tuesday (01/29) against Roanoke Bible in Elizabeth City, NC.
