Biography

Career

  • played in 148 games, seventh-most in school history
  • was a .315 career hitter and ranks third in school history with 101 runs scored
  • broke Guilford's career stolen bases standard with 57 thefts in 63 attempts and holds the record for most sacrifice hits (28) in program history

2016

  • earned Second Team NCAA Division III Academic All-America recognition from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)
  • also named an Academic All-District V selection by CoSIDA
  • made 38 total appearances and set career highs in batting average (.365), stolen bases (20), runs batted in (15), hits (38) and runs scored (28)
  • was a Third Team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) selection
  • in 18 ODAC contests, she batted .347 with 17 hits, 14 runs scored, 12 stolen bases and three RBIs.
  • had 11 multi-hit performances
  • best performance was a 2-for-3 outing with two runs, two RBIs and two stolen bases to lead Guilford over Wilson College March 13, 10-1

2015

  • started in 33 games in the outfield
  • hit .260, with two doubles, one triple, and seven RBI
  • stood fifth on the team in runs scored (24)
  • had six sacrifice bunts
  • was 19-20 in stolen bases, which lead the team and ranked fifth among ODAC stolen-base leaders
  • had four multi-hit games
  • had three hits in the second game of the doubleheader at Shenandoah (3/28)

2014

  • played in 42 of the Quakers’ 44 games
  • finished the season with a .275 average with nine RBI and 10 stolen bases
  • totaled eight multi-hit games, including three three-hit efforts
  • finished 3-for-3 in the second game of the Feb. 26 doubleheader at William Peace and the first game of the April 23 home doubleheader against Randolph 
  • opened up 2014 with her lone two-RBI game in the first game of the February 16 doubleheader at Methodist 

2013

  • played in 32 games, starting 27, mostly in the outfield
  • batted .365, which was third on the team, first among rookies
  • best appearance came against Emory & Henry where she collected two hits, knocked in one run, and scored a run 

Personal

  • awarded Outstanding Elementary Education Student departmental honors
  • was awarded the 2016 Nereus C. English Athletic Leadership Award, Guilford’s top athletics honor
  • 2015 named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American Scholar Athlete.
  • volunteered with Americorps in the summer of 2014 teaching English to refugees and immigrants
  • participated in short talks titled "Observing the Kinesthetic Learner in the Classrooms" at Guilford's 2014 Undergraduate Symposium
