Guilford College

Ryan Carriker comes to the Quakers following a successful tenure as coach at Marlboro Academy in South Carolina, where he helped lead the Lady Dragons to a 69-10 record over three years, several preseason and regional titles, and a SCISA AA State Championship in 2019. 

A native of Rockingham, N.C., Carriker founded Carolina Blaze, a fast pitch organization with teams in all age groups.  Currently, Coach Carriker serves as an organizational director and showcase coach for the Knockouts, one of the oldest fast pitch organizations in North Carolina, with eleven teams aged from 10u through showcase.  He has served as tournament director and conducts biannual combines and camps for teams and players across the Carolinas. Carriker is a member of the NFCA and provides hitting, fielding, and speed and agility lessons to teams. 

Coach Ryan currently resides in Hoffman, N.C. on his farm with his wife and son, and his daughter is away at college playing softball.
