Strong and aggressive post presence… will contribute right away… great leaper with good hands and a nice scoring touch… High School: Earned 1999-00 Piedmont Triad 3-A Conference Player of the Year honors for Coach Robert Moore’s Southwest Guilford H.S. team… led the conference in scoring as a senior… All-Guilford County selection… received first team All-Academic honors and the Triad 3-A Conference Sportsmanship award… earned all-league high jump honors with the track and field team… four-year Southwest H.S. honor roll member… president of the school’s Spanish club… Personal: Played with the NC Select and Kings Mountain AAU programs… helped the Kings Mountain team to state and national titles in 199X… older brother, James, played basketball at Limestone College… son of James and Annie Swindell… Spanish and accounting double major.
