Quickly became Guilford's mainstay in the center of the outfield… above average defense and good speed in the field and on the bases… the Quakers lead off man and constant on base threat…and enters his final campaign with 55 stolen bases in 63 attempts...  2001: Batted first in the lineup for most of the season... ranked sixth among Guilford's regulars with a .351 batting average on a career-high 47 hits... had a club-high three triples... led Guilford with 15 multiple-hit games...  a career-high four hits and three steals versus nationally ranked Methodist April 12... hit his first collegiate grand slam and drove in a personal-best six runs in an 11-6 win over league-rival Emory & Henry April 21... led the club in stolen bases per game and stood fourth in triples per contest... RBI (24) ranked third on the team... lead the team in stolen bases and broke the school's single-season steals record, which was formerly held by Tony Womack '92, now of the Arizona Diamondbacks... passed Womack's season steals mark in the final game of the year and finished with an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC)-leading 23 steals in 27 attempts... broke Guilford's career thefts mark earlier in the season... 1999: Led all freshman with a .362 average in a team-high 38 games… stole a team-best 12 bases and ranked fourth in the league with .32 swipes per game… ranked third in the conference with 14 doubles and fourth in the ODAC with a .592 slugging percentage… had a nine-game hitting streak from February 21 to March 6, including a season-high 5-hit afternoon versus Mary Washington… Personal: Regular Guilford's Student-Athlete Honor Roll… received the Player of the Year Award for Coach John Shiffner's Plainfield H.S team… helped the team to a share of the QVC baseball title in '98… two-time American Legion all-star… son of Robert and Cynthia Danis
