2008: Named Guilford's Most Valuable Pitcher... led the team in wins, earned run average, complete games, strikeouts and shutouts (1)... ranked among league leaders in ERA and innings pitched... pitched a season-high nine innings and recorded a season-high nine strikeouts against Emory & Henry... fanned six batters in seven innings and gave up just two runs in a win over Southern Virginia University... had a five-hit shutout with no walks and three strikeouts against Wabash College... Personal: Transferred from Danville Community College in 2007… lettered two years at Bluestone High School under coach Glenn Card… earned first team all-district pitching honors… son of Mark and Brenda Hairston.
