Biography

2001: Opened the year as Guilford's starting second baseman, but suffered a hand injury and missed about a month of action... his second straight injury-plagued season and played in just seven games, starting two...   went hitless in five at-bats this year... made his first two collegiate pitching appearances by tossing a scoreless inning of relief against Averett and Bridgewater.  heads into his senior season with a .184 career batting average on nine hits with eight RBI... Personal: Lettered three years at Hayfield Secondary School for Coach Ron Simms…helped the team to the final four of the Northern Region in Virginia… maintained a 3.5 grade-point average for '96-'98…son of Jim and Elaine Francis
