GREENSBORO, N.C. – Knox Butka (Pinehurt, N.C.),
Jasmine Cartwright (Kalispell, Mont.),
Jaden Gary (Charlotte, N.C.), and
Pilar Hurtado Gutierrez represented the Guilford College women's rugby program as selections to the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) All- Academic team, as announced by the organization last week.
Academically, the requirements are not dissimilar to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honor, as student-athletes must be at least an academic and athletic sophomore, while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher in the classroom in order to qualify for the honor. For the 2025-26 academic and athletic year, 206 total players were recognized with the award across 23 separate NIRA member women's rugby programs.
Individually, Butka owns a 3.6 GPA as a junior studying Public Health at GC.
Cartwright played out here junior season as a double-major at Guilford, studying Health Sciences and Biology with a 3.9 GPA.
Gary finished her undergraduate degree this year with a 3.5 GPA in Sport Management.
Finally, Hurtado Gutierrez is a junior studying Business Administration with a 3.6 GPA.
