EMORY, Va. - The Guilford College women's rugby team went 2-1 over the weekend, earning a pair of decisive victories, including a 17-15 win over Division I opponent Queens University of Charlotte. The Quakers dominated their first game, 44-0 over Warren Wilson College, and fell to Emory & Henry University, 12-19, before bouncing back against Queens.

The Quakers opened the weekend with a shutout victory over Warren Wilson.
Madison Yontz (Rural Retreat, Calif.) scored four tries, while
Jayleen Frazier,
Ashlynn Beharr (Southington, Conn.),
Atlas Johnson (Concord, N.C.), and
Brianna Folch (Bridgeport, Conn.) each added a try.
Caitlyn Reese (Noblesville, Ind.) contributed with two conversion kicks.

Guilford then faced Emory & Henry, falling 19-12.
Kaydence Ector (Beaverdams, N.Y.) and Yontz each scored a try, with Reese adding the conversion.

The Quakers closed the weekend with their most significant result, beating Queens University of Charlotte, 17-15. Ector, Cartwright, and Yontz each scored for Guilford, while Reese again added the conversion.

Guilford College women's rugby travels to Appalachian State University for the Rucktoberfest Tournament beginning on Saturday, October 17.
