GAME 1

Kalissa Williams (Roanoke Rapids, N.C.) drove a 2-RBI single into left field, extending Guilford's lead 4-1 through two innings. Roanoke would match the Quakers number off Erin Gorschboth's bases loaded walk and Charlotte Gale's 3-RBI single, giving the Maroons a 6-4 advantage.
Shiloh Gray (Lexington, N.C.) made things interesting later in the fourth, driving an RBI-single into center to tie the clash against Roanoke, 6-6.
Savannah Newton (Concord, N.C.) drove in one runner off a single in the fifth, with
Kalissa Williams matching that tally to tie up the battle once more in the fifth.
In the closing stages of the clash, Haileigh Vaughan sent home three off a 2-RBI double. However in a pickoff at third, Vaughan drew a defensive miscue from Guilford, leading Roanoke to a one run advantage.
Kalissa Williams kept the Quakers in the mix of the battle with an RBI-double in the seventh. The opportunity for Guilford to take control would subside off Ava Colontrelle reaching on a walkoff fielder's choice, resulting in a 11-10 decision in favor of the Maroons.
GAME 2
After Roanoke commenced the rubber match with a 1-0 early lead, Charlotte Gale sac-flied into center, scoring one more runner to grab a two run advantage through the first.

Kaylee Harris (Mooresville, N.C.) pushed the momentum towards Guilford's favor in the third, driving an infield single to the shortstop to cut the Quakers deficit to one. The streak of hits would continue in the third as

Nicole Drew's (Raleigh, N.C.) single into center, extending Guilford's lead, 5-3 through three innings.
Kaylee Harris later added to that tally in the fourth off an additional RBI-single, putting the Quakers up by three. Erin Gorschboth bashed a 2-RBI single into right center, however would not be enough for Roanoke to prevail, putting things on ice for a 6-5 Guilford victory in game two.
