GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Guilford College baseball teams, in collaboration with Brevard College, and in the safety and best interests of all involved, have flipped locations for their season series, the departments announced on Thursday.
 
The Quakers will now open their 2026 campaign at the Tornados on Wednesday, February 11^th at Gil Coan Field. Start time will remain 2:00 PM for that contest. Brevard, in turn, will now visit Guilford on March 4^th, to complete the swap. Once more, first pitch of that March contest will be 2:00 PM.
 
In an additional adjustment, Baseball's originally scheduled Development Team doubleheader at Carolina University that was set for Monday, February 9^th has been postponed with a makeup to be announced at a later date.
 
The changes come due to poor field conditions in the aftermath of the recent string of winter weather. With the adjusted sites, the department hopes for better playing conditions for all participants, workers, and fans. In that vein, Guilford Athletics would like to emphasize the interest of safety as the games approach, and wish all safe travels.
