The Guilford College men's lacrosse team faced the 13th-ranked Lynchburg Hornets in home regular season finale. The Quakers fell to the Hornets 24-5.
Lynchburg showed its dominance early as it opened the game with the first seven goals. At the 5:24 mark in the second,
Devin Morse put the Quakers on the board.
Little under 30 seconds later,
Gavin Brown scored a man-up goal with an assist to
Joe Hirvonen. The Hornets closed the period with three more goals to lead 10-2 at the half.
In the third, the visitors added four more goals until Brown netted his second of the game off a pass from
Devin Morse.
The Hornets went on to score six-straight. Morse and
Gabe Alvarez went back-to-back with assists to Brown and
Andrew Burch, respectively.
Lynchburg closed the game with the final four goals as it won by the 19-goal margin.
Guilford travels to Randolph College on Saturday, April 29 for the season finale. Start time is set for 1:00 p.m.
