The 14th-ranked Guilford College men's basketball team hit the road to face the Hornets of Lynchburg. After being tied at half, the Quakers used a strong second half for a 78-63 win.

Tyler Dearman led the Quakers with 15 points and surpassed 1,000-career points at Guilford. Dearman joins a group of 20-plus at Guilford to score over 1,000 points.Â
Lynchburg (6-17, 3-11) came firing out of the gates scoring the first eight points. Guilford (19-4, 12-2) answered with seven-straight that started a 14-2 run as the visitors led by four (14-10) with 8:48 left in the first.
The Hornets battled back and evened the score at 16 with 7:23 on the clock. Both squads exchanged makes over the final seven minutes as the score was tied at 31 going to the locker rooms.
The second half was a fast start for the Quakers as they scored 12 of the first 15 to lead by nine (43-34). GC slowly expanded its lead as it went on to cruise to victory.
Myles Washington finished with 13 points and seven rebounds while
Jorden Davis added 10 points. The Quakers scored 38 points in the paint and finished with 20 second chance points.
Guilford welcomes Ferrum College to the Ragan-Brown Field House on Wednesday, February 15. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
