Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Hits the Road

Guilford College's men's soccer team traveled to Winston-Salem, N.C. to play Carolina University. The Bruins proved to be a tough match leading to a 6-1 Quaker loss. 

The match's first goal for Carolina came at the 15:29 mark. Followed by another goal nearly 10 minutes later at 24:02. Guilford was able to hold off the attack for the rest of the half.

The second half was littered with goals including four more for the Bruins. Finally, Junior Chavez was able to find the back of the net at the 76:35 minute mark, assisted by Hunter Isenhour. 

Ildis Vital-Peraza came up with three saves in 90 minutes. Guilford was able to put up seven shots through the contest but was no match for Carolina, putting up 20 for the game. This was a foul-heavy match totaling 21 fouls between both teams. The Quakers were unable to attempt a corner kick with the Bruins attempting eight.

The Quakers return to campus looking to bounce back against Greensboro College on Saturday, September 17. First kick set for 7:00 p.m.
