The Guilford College men's tennis team welcomed Hampden-Sydney College to McMichael Courts in a conference battle. The Quakers fell to the Tigers, 6-3.
In doubles, all three Guilford pairings fell by the score of 8-5. In singles action,
Jay Montague fell in the first position by the scores of 6-3, 4-6, and 10-8.
Drake Schreiber notched the first win for the Quakers at second singles in three sets (1-6, 7-5, 18-16).
Andrew Ferris followed with a win of his own with scores of 3-6, 6-3, 10-8.
Evan Wong notched the final win as his match went the distance (4-6, 6-3, 10-7).
Tye Sasser (No. 5) and
Drew Clark (No. 6) fell in straight sets.
Guilford (7-5, 5-3) travels to Methodist to face the Monarchs on Sunday, April 10. Start time is slated for 1:00 p.m.
