Guilford scored early and often as nine-different Quakers scored in the 20-3 victory over Randolph College.
In the first period, Guilford (4-5, 2-2) scored all five goals in the period. The Quakers then scored two in the second before Randolph (1-9, 0-4) got on the board.
GC added two more goals in the period to close out the half in front by eight (9-1).
The third period was the closest in scoring with Guilford coming out on top, 3-2 and 12-3 going to the final 15 minutes of regulation.
The Quakers held its grasp on the game and officially closed the deal as they scored eight-straight to win 20-3.
Devin Morse led the team with six points (5G, 1A) while
Nick Honkomp added three goals and two assists.
Justin Barry and
Joseph Hirvonen each tallied four points.
Jax Atkins went 22-25 in the faceoff circle while Ryan Reed made four saves in the victory.
Guilford hits the road to take on the Eagles of Bridgewater College on Saturday, April 9. Game time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
