The Guilford College women's tennis team traveled to Ferrum College for an Old Dominion Athletic Conference match. The Quakers took down the Panthers, 6-3.
At first doubles,
Madyson Schreiber and
Hannah Pardue claimed the win, 8-0. The pairing of
Jolie Nhouyvanisvong and
Bea Niyibizi were pushed in second doubles but prevailed 8-7, 7-3 in the tiebreaker. In third doubles,
Nya Reed and
Nili Ocran fell just short, 8-6.
Schreiber kicked off the singles portion of the match winning 6-2 and 6-1. At second singles, Pardue won her matchup in straight sets, 6-1 and 6-0.
Nhouyvanisvong swept third singles with clean sets of 6-0. Reed claimed the final win for the Quakers in fifth singles, defeating Morgan Hundley 6-1 and 6-4.
Guilford (1-4, 1-1) travels to Hollins University on Friday, March 11. Start time is set for 2:00 p.m.
