The Guilford College women's tennis team concluded its trip in Virginia as it faced the Bridgewater College Eagles. The Quakers fell in a close battle, 5-4.
Madyson Schreiber and
Hannah Pardue picked up a win at first doubles, 8-3. The teams of
Jolie Nhouyvanisvong and
Bea Niyibizi (second doubles) along with
Nya Reed and
Nili Ocran (third doubles) fell by scores of 8-4 and 8-1, respectively.
In singles action, Schreiber was victorious in straight sets at first singles (6-3, 6-1). Pardue claimed second singles by scores of 7-6 and 6-2. Nhouyvanisvong claimed the final win for the Quakers at third singles (7-6, 6-7, 6-2).
Guilford returns to the courts on Saturday, April 2 when it hosts Lynchburg University. Start time is 2:00 p.m.
