The Guilford College women's tennis team hit the road to face the Roanoke College Maroons. The Quakers fell to the Maroons, 7-2.
In doubles,
Madyson Schreiber and
Hannah Pardue were bested in the first pairing, 8-5.
Jolie Nhouyvanisvong and
Nya Reed (second doubles) along with
Jessica Fuentes and
Alys Parker (third doubles) dropped their matches by the score of 8-5.
Schreiber bounced back and took first singles in straight sets (6-1, 6-1). The other win for Guilford was in third singes as Nhouyvanisvong won in straight sets as well, 6-2 and 6-2. Unfortunately, the Quakers dropped in straights set in second, fifth and sixth singles.
Guilford (3-5, 3-2) faces the Bridgewater College Eagles in Virginia on Sunday, March 20. Start time is 1:00 p.m.
