The Guilford College men's tennis team continued its 2021-22 season against Old Dominion Athletic Conference foe, Ferrum College. The Quakers topped the Panthers, 9-0.
In doubles, the team of
Drake Schreiber and
Evan Wong won 8-1 while Schreiber also won his first singles bout against Patrick March, 6-1 and 6-3. Wong was also victorious in his fourth singles match, sweeping 6-0, 6-0.
At second doubles, the pair of
Jay Montague and
Tye Sasser won 8-1. Montague won at second singles (6-0, 6-0) just as well as Sasser did at fifth singles (6-0, 6-0).
Finally the pairing of Andrew Farris and
Dominik Pocrnja won 8-0 in third doubles as Ferris was won in straight sets in third singles (6-0, 6-0). The other Quaker victory came in sixth singles from
Drew Clark. He won in straight sets with scores of 6-0 and 6-0.
Guilford (2-1, 1-0) will host Averett on Sunday, February 27 at 1:00 p.m.
