The Guilford College women's soccer team made the trek to the University of Lynchburg. The Quakers dropped by the Hornets, 3-0.
From the start, Lynchburg began to control play. In the 36th minute,
Crystal Rivas was sent off after receiving a red card as she was awarded a yellow in the 12th minute. With a man advantage, the Hornets scored at the 37:53 mark of the first.
Lynchburg held the advantage as time expired in the first half.
In the second half, it took 2:16 of action for the Hornets to double their lead. The goal came directly off a corner kick. Lynchburg scored the game's final goal in the 65th minute.
Ady Franken made 13 saves on the day for the Quakers.
Guilford will host Roanoke College on Wednesday, October 19. Start time is set for 6:00 p.m.
