GREENSBORO, N.C.---Bridgewater College won all singles contests in straight sets as Guilford College fell to Bridgewater, 9-0, in a Sunday afternoon Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match.
Nora Prokosch and Fernanda Gonzalez posted the best effort for the Quakers at the second doubles slot, falling to Shannon Quinn and Ashley Price, 8-5. Haley Andrews and Allison Hewitt took on the top-doubles tandem of Marla O'Bryan and Maria Hawkins, falling to the Eagle students, 8-4.
Proskosch faced Price once more in the fourth-singles match in a matchup that featured an extra game in a tight second set. Price edged Proskosch in the second set to earn the match victory, 6-3 and 7-5.
Luci Gordon also took Haley Lloyd to the limit, this time in the first set of the sixth-singles match. Lloyd earned a tight first set victory, 7-5, and completed the two-set victory winning the second set, 6-3.
The Quakers (2-3, 0-3 ODAC) travel to Roanoke next Sunday for a 1 p.m. ODAC match in Salem, Va.
