LEXINGTON, Va. - Host Washington and Lee University claimed a 5-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) decision over visiting Guilford Thursday afternoon.

The Generals (6-1, 6-0 ODAC) claimed all three doubles matches and clinched the win with victories at the first two singles flights.

Meghan Buell and Chelsea Mixon downed Guilford's top doubles tandem of Haley Andrews and Allison Hewitt, 8-1. Mixon scored a 6-3, 6-4 win over Andrews at first singles. Brooke Donnelly defeated Guilford's Hewitt at second singles, 6-0, 6-0.

Donnelly and Claire Cahill defeated Guilford's Nora Prokosch and Fernanda Gonzalez, 8-0, and second doubles. The third doubles tilt went to the Generals' Kelsey Vella and Allison Hupalo, who topped the Quakers' Mara Stern and Madison Giles, 8-2.

Guilford (3-4, 2-2 ODAC) visits league-rival Virginia Wesleyan College Friday (3/7) in a match rescheduled from February.
