GREENSBORO, N.C. – Visiting Washington and Lee University swept a pair of Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) matches at Guilford College Sunday afternoon. The 10th-ranked Generals women improved to 10-1 overall (6-0 ODAC) with a 9-0 win over the Quakers (4-5, 2-3 ODAC). The 25th-rated Washington and Lee men (7-1, 6-0 ODAC) downed Guilford (5-3, 2-2 ODAC), 8-1.
The Generals' women posted shutouts at first and second doubles in their 9-0 victory. Washington and Lee's Ashley Leinweber took the first-singles contest from Guilford's Mackey Wesner, 6-1, 6-0. She teamed with Kerry Cotter for an 8-0 first-doubles triumph over Wesner and Natalie Sutton.
Guilford hosts Washington (Md.) College at 2:00 p.m. Monday (3/14).
