GREENSBORO, N.C. (3/26/10) -- Visiting Sweet Briar College defeated Guilford College, 6-3, Friday in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match played at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center.

The Vixens' Virginia Edahl lost only one point to Guilford's Mackey Wesner at first singles and teamed with Moriah Burke for an 8-5 first-doubles victory over Wesner and Nina Bollag. Burke was a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Mary Simpson at second doubles.  

Simpson and Liz Killion teamed for an 8-2 second-doubles triumph. Killion scored a 6-3, 6-4 win at fourth singles for the Quakers. Megan Fair accounted for Guilford's third point with an 8-4 pro-set win over Leslie Polaski.  

The Quakers (2-5, 0-5 ODAC) visit Averett University Wednesday (3/31) at 3:00 p.m. in a match rescheduled from Mar. 3.
