Box Score GREENSBORO, N.C. (2/28/10) -- Summer Frazier scored a career-high six goals to lead Guilford College to a 15-11 lacrosse win over visiting Denison University Sunday afternoon. Frazier had five goals by halftime, which helped the Quakers (3-0) open a 10-5 lead.
Lisa Feroli scored her second of three goals 9:10 into the first half, which cut Guilford's lead to 3-2. The Quakers responded with a 6-1 run that featured three of Frazier's scores and two of Carrie Ernst's three goals.
Bree Vohs and Hannah Merrell scored to start the second half and open a 12-5 Quakers' edge. The Big Red scored six of the game's final nine goals, but drew no closer than the final four-goal margin. Sara Langham also scored three times for Denison.
Guilford's Alyzza-May Callahan made eight of her 11 saves in the second half. The Quakers' Shelly Nogueira had four assists, nine ground balls and five draw controls. Merrell and Ellie Merritt both finished with a goal and two assists.
Guilford hosts the Rochester Institute of Technology Wednesday (3/3) at 7:00 p.m.
