Guilford Winning Streak Reaches Ten

Greensboro, N.C. (2/16/08) - Ben Strong scored 25 points and added seven rebounds to lead Guilford College past visiting Bridgewater College, 77-69, Saturday afternoon in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference game. The Quakers (18-4, 13-2 ODAC) are ranked 15th in this week's D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll and won for the 10th straight game. Bridgewater falls to 13-9 (6-9 ODAC).

Strong had 14 points by halftime as the Quakers built a 33-18 intermission lead. The Eagles rallied to within five points with 2:43 left in regulation thanks to nine second-half three-pointers. Bridgewater's Dominc Trawick made five-of-seven trifectas in the second half and scored 17 of his team-high 19 points in the period.

Tyler Sanborn recorded his fourth double-double of the season for Guilford. He finished with 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. Clay Henson drained four three-pointers on the way to 18 points for the Quakers.

Guilford hosts Eastern Mennonite University Sunday (2/17) at 3:00 p.m.
