Greensboro, N.C. (12/2/08) -- Guilford fell to #24 North Carolina Wesleyan 76-55 Tuesday night. The Battling Bishops led 25-23 at halftime before exploding for 51 second-half points. Four players recorded double digits points for North Carolina Wesleyan led by Jarmel Arrington's 24 points. After shooting only 33 percent in the first half, the Battling Bishops caught fire shooting 49 percent in the second half.

The Quakers were led by Tyler Sanborn's 28 points and 16 rebounds both game highs. Rhett Bonner added 11 points and two steals. Guilford struggled from the floor shooting 34 percent for the game and 26 percent from beyond the three-point arc. The loss drops Guilford to 4-2 on the season.

Guilford returns to action Saturday (12/6) hosting Virginia Wesleyan in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) opener for the Quakers. The game tips off at 3:00 p.m. in the Ragan-Brown Field House. North Carolina Wesleyan hosts Lancaster Bible in the second game of the NCWC Roger Taylor Invitational Friday (12/5) at 8:00 p.m.
