Snipes answered for the Quakers and scored 13 of his team's next 17 points while the Generals failed to keep up at the other end. Snipes' jumper with 3:33 remaining ended a 17-8 Guilford run and gave the hosts an 87-70 edge. Washington and Lee drew no closer than 14 points the rest of the way.

Snipes made 10-of-14 field goals, including seven-of-eight second-half shots, for his fourth 30-point game of the year.
