KENNEDY SETS SAVES RECORD IN GUILFORD WOMEN'S LACROSSE LOSS

Bridgewater, VA (04/10/02) --  Sandy Lagana scored four goals and two assists in host Bridgewater's 21-9 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's lacrosse win over Guilford Wednesday at Mapp Field.  Liz Pietryzk and Sarah Pritchett each added four goals and one assist for the Eagles (6-6, 3-3 ODAC), who won their second straight game.  Guilford, which played with only 11 players, drops to 0-12 (0-7 ODAC).
Sophomore Kathryn Ragin (Pawleys Island, SC/Hyde School (CT)) scored a career-high seven goals in defeat.  Ragin's seven tallies marked the most in a game by a Guilford player since Forrest Chapin tallied seven goals in an April 8, 1998 win over Sweet Briar.
Pritchett and Pietryzk each scored twice during a 7-0 Eagles' spurt midway through the first half that extended Bridgewater's lead from 3-2 to 10-2 with 2:57 left in the first half.  The Eagles led 12-3 at halftime.
Guilford freshman Lindsey Kennedy (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) (pictured) made 14 saves in goal, which raises her season total to 211 stops for the season, breaking the Guilford record of 204 set by Lauren Gill '98 in 1997 and 1998.
The Quakers close out their season Saturday (04/13) at home against league-rival Virginia Wesleyan at 11:00 a.m. on Haworth Field.
