Taylor Cline enters her first season as the Head Women's Lacrosse Coach at Guilford College in 2025 after being hired into the role in February of 2025.
Cline comes to GC owning eight years of collegiate coaching experience ranging across all three Divisions of NCAA women’s lacrosse. Most recently, she spent the last four seasons leading the Bobcats of Frostburg State University, a Division-II program out of Maryland. During her tenure with FSU, she compiled a brilliant 45-24 record, including 32-4 in Mountain East Conference (MEC) play, reaching the MEC Championship game in each season. The Bobcats secured at least a share of the MEC Regular Season title in 2022, 2023, and 2024, winning it outright the past two years on their way to their first-two MEC Tournament crowns. The Frostburg State women’s lacrosse program raked in the accolades throughout her tenure, pilling up 35 total All-MEC selections including 16 on the First Team, an MEC Freshman of the Year, an MEC Defensive Player of the Year, a trio or MEC Offensive Player of the Year nods, and two IWLCA All-Region honors. As for Cline herself, she was thrice named the MEC Coach of the Year in 2022, 2023, and 2024. Off the field, the Bobcats excelled academically, with the program getting named an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad in 2021, 2022, and 2024.
Prior to her time with FSU, Cline spent two years at Division-I Bucknell University as an Assistant Coach, including the second year as the top assistant on the Bisons’ staff. In addition to the on-field coaching tasks, she managed the program’s equipment, travel, and social media while also assisting in multiple fundraising efforts for the BU women’s lacrosse program. Cline began her coaching career at Division-III Goucher College in Maryland for two years, finishing her time in the title of Associate Head Coach.
Cline completed her undergraduate career at Division-II Limestone University where she started in 58 of her 76 career games played in the midfield. She was a two-time First Team All-Conference Carolinas honoree and a 2016 IWLCA Third-Team All-American, making the All-Region Second Team that same season. During her time with the Saints, the program went 68-10 winning a trio of Conference Carolinas Tournament Championships earning a pair of NCAA Tournament berths and advancing to the National Championship game her freshman season.
Cline was a member of the Limestone University class of 2016 completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education with an emphasis on Strength & Conditioning and was named the 2016 Conference Carolinas Scholar-Athlete of the Year for her excellence on the field and in the classroom. She continued her education, earning a Master’s in Athletic Program Leadership & Administration while at Goucher in 2018.
