Kim Kleimeier ’13 enters her sixth season as Guilford's head women’s tennis coach after serving three seasons as a Quakers' assistant.

In 2022-23, the Quakers went 1-13 in her fifth season in charge. Overall, the Quakers have posted a record of 12-49 through five seasons.

During her first season at the helm, the team recorded a 3-14 record which was a marked improvement over the two previous seasons. Kleimeier took on the role of compliance coordinator during the 2021 off-season.

Most recently in 2019-20, the Quakers had a 2-5 overall record before the spring portion of the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to her Guilford position, she also serves as an instructor at the Precision Tennis Academy. A 2013 Guilford graduate, Kleimeier compiled 35 career victories for the Quakers. She earned Third Team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) honors for her doubles performance in 2011-12. Kleimeier won 10 matches, including seven in the first-doubles flight. A year later, Kleimeier tallied nine more doubles victories. As a singles competitor, she earned 16 wins, eight in each of her two seasons, respectively.

Kleimeier has previous head coaching experience as the head coach at the Canterbury School from 2015-2018 and served as a United States Tennis Association tournament director in 2015.

During her time at Guilford, Kleimeier served in various capacities, including as a presenter at Guilford’s Undergraduate Symposium, president of the German Club, and a contributor to The Guilfordian, the school newspaper. She was a two-time Academic All-ODAC selection, a dean’s list student, and a three-time member of the Guilford Student-Athlete Honor Roll. She graduated with a double major in English and German.
