Craig Eilbacher

Craig Eilbacher is a tenured Associate Professor of Sports Studies and has served as the Quakers' Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR) since 2010. He is Guilford's Program Coordinator of Sports Medicine and has served as Sports Studies Department Chair. He teaches a variety of courses, including Introduction to Exercise Science, Therapeutic Modalities and Rehabilitation, CPR and First Aid, and Emergency Procedures in Athletic Training. As a published scholar, he authored several refereed publications and two newspaper editorials and presented over 20 refereed workshops. In 2015, the North Carolina Athletic Trainers' Association recognized him as College Educator of the Year.

Eilbacher holds an Ed.D. in Kinesiology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a Master of Science in Education from the University of Akron, and a Baccalaureate degree in Physical Education from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He is also a licensed, certified athletic trainer. Eilbacher has volunteered his services at Guilford, as well as the U.S. Figure Skating Association Championships in Greensboro and the North Carolina Special Olympics.

Eilbacher served as Guilford's Interim Director of Athletics from January-July 2018.
