Aubrey Bower enters her first year in the role of Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant, after being hired to the position in August 2025.
Aubrey Bower is a summa cum laude graduate of DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, where she earned degrees in Communication and English Writing. A member of the prestigious Media Fellows Honors Program, she also served as an on-air broadcaster for WGRE 91.5, DePauw’s campus radio station. As a student-athlete on the track & field team, Bower brought her leadership off the field as well, serving on the executive board of the Diverse Athletes Association (DAA).
Bower’s passion for athletic communications was sparked through her work as a student assistant with DePauw Athletics, where she covered all 23 varsity sports. In her senior year, she was promoted to a manager role of the student assistant team and selected to participate in the College Sports Communicators’ national convention as part of its student program.
Bower thrives behind the camera, approaching sports information as both a technical and artistic craft. She is deeply committed to inclusive representation and authentic storytelling, utilizing visual media to showcase the individual humanity of each athlete while strengthening a collective sense of team pride.
