Guilford College

Brooks Doughtie joined the Guilford College Quakers in May of 2023 becoming the head coach of the women's swim and women's triathlon programs.

Prior to joining Guilford College, Doughtie was an assistant swim coach for William Peace University from 2022-2023. Doughtie spent 3 years club swim coaching for YOTA swim team in Raleigh, NC as an assistant coach. Doughtie led the N.C. State Triathlon Club team from 2012-2015 and 2018-2019, helping them finish in the top 3 in the MACTC standings for the 1st time ever. Doughtie began his coaching career in 2008, coaching triathlon and endurance athletes under his coaching business, All Out MultiSport.

Doughtie has coached for USA Triathlon at World Championships events including head coach for Team USA at the 2022 World Games in Birmingham, Alabama. Doughtie was head coach for USA Triathlon's summer collegiate camp at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado from 2016-2019. Doughtie has coached 4 USAT national champions in various multisport events since 2008.

Doughtie graduated from North Carolina State University in 2004 with a B.S. degree in Natural Resources, where he was a cyclist on the N.C. State Cycling team. Doughtie earned a M.S. degree in exercise physiology from California University of Pennsylvania in 2015. Doughtie enjoys riding his bike and taking his dog, Pippa, on walks around the various trails in Greensboro.
